Abstract

Telemedicine services have emerged as a critical tool for healthcare delivery in remote areas, particularly in developing countries with limited infrastructure and resources. Theoretical development will be employed through literature review and analytical synthesis, focusing on existing studies and frameworks relevant to telemedicine access and utilization in rural settings. The theoretical framework underscores the need for targeted interventions to bridge the digital divide and improve telemedicine access in underserved rural areas. Policy makers should prioritise investment in telemedicine infrastructure, training programmes for healthcare providers, and community engagement initiatives to enhance service availability and utilization.
