Abstract

Ethiopia has been undergoing significant educational reforms aimed at improving access, quality, and equity in education. However, these reforms often face implementation challenges that hinder their effectiveness. The research employs a qualitative approach involving semi-structured interviews with educators, policymakers, and community leaders in selected regions of Ethiopia. Data analysis follows thematic content analysis. Findings indicate that one significant theme is the lack of adequate funding for infrastructure development, which affects classroom conditions and teacher training programmes. Despite commendable policy reforms, implementation issues such as inadequate financial resources continue to impede progress in educational quality and accessibility. The government should prioritise securing consistent funding sources to support ongoing education initiatives effectively.
