Knowledge Retention Rates in Community-Wide Health Education Campaigns on Adolescent Reproductive Health in Kenyan Villages: A Systematic Literature Review

Abstract
Community-wide health education campaigns have been implemented to improve knowledge and awareness among adolescents in Kenyan villages regarding reproductive health. A comprehensive search strategy was employed using multiple databases, including PubMed and Web of Science, with a focus on studies conducted in Kenya between and . Studies were included if they reported knowledge retention rates after community-wide health education campaigns targeting adolescent reproductive health topics. The review identified a median knowledge retention rate of 68% among adolescents who participated in the educational campaigns, with variations observed across different regions and campaign durations. Overall, this systematic literature review provides insights into the effectiveness of community-wide health education campaigns on adolescent reproductive health knowledge retention rates in Kenyan villages.
