Gendered Geographies of Power in South African Political Transitions,
Abstract
Gendered geographies of power have been central to political transitions in South Africa, with significant implications for social and economic development. The analysis is based on secondary data from official reports, academic journals, and policy documents, employing a qualitative approach to explore themes in depth. The study highlights the complex interplay between gender and political structures, emphasising the need for continued efforts to ensure equitable representation and opportunities for all genders. Policy recommendations include strengthening mechanisms that encourage women's participation in decision-making processes and enhancing support systems for female entrepreneurs.
