Abstract

Urban residents in Cairo, Egypt are increasingly focusing on low-carbon mobility solutions to reduce carbon emissions and improve air quality. A mixed-method approach incorporating qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys will be used to understand attitudes, barriers, and preferences towards these solutions. The theoretical framework provides insights into facilitating wider low-carbon mobility uptake in Cairo. Public policy should focus on lowering EV purchase costs and enhancing public transit connectivity to accelerate adoption. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
