Abstract

Entrepreneurship in Nigeria's informal sector is a growing field of study, with Lagos serving as a critical case due to its significant economic importance and diverse population. The analysis is based on secondary data from existing literature and expert interviews, providing a qualitative overview rather than empirical results. The commentary highlights the need for supportive policies and improved infrastructure to foster sustainable entrepreneurship within this sector, which is crucial for Lagos's economic development. Policy makers should prioritise initiatives that enhance access to finance and improve regulatory environments to support entrepreneurs in the informal economy.
