Abstract

Youth leadership in education is increasingly recognised as a critical factor for educational development in Africa. A comparative study using qualitative data from interviews with educators, students, and youth leaders. Youth involvement was particularly significant in promoting school attendance among vulnerable groups, with a reported increase of 20% in participation rates. Youth-led initiatives have shown promise in enhancing educational outcomes but require sustained support to scale effectively. Increased funding and training for youth leaders are recommended alongside policy reforms that prioritise their engagement in education reform processes.
