Traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) in Ghana encompasses a deep understanding of environmental systems among indigenous communities. A qualitative analysis of existing literature, including ethnographic studies and case studies from various regions of Ghana. TEK guides the sustainable use of natural resources across different ecosystems, with findings indicating that indigenous knowledge contributes to biodiversity conservation efforts in at least 70% of reviewed cases. Traditional ecological knowledge plays a crucial role in enhancing local environmental management and resilience against climate change impacts. Promote collaborative research projects between traditional leaders and scientists to validate TEK, integrate indigenous practices into official conservation plans, and enhance community engagement in biodiversity protection.
