Abstract

Digital literacy programmes are crucial for enhancing technological skills among youth in developing countries like Nigeria. A mixed-methods approach combining quantitative survey data with qualitative interviews to evaluate participant feedback and programme outcomes. The analysis revealed a higher proportion (42%) of participants from Lagos reported significant improvements in digital skills compared to Kano (30%). Lagos programmes showed better results, likely due to greater access to technology infrastructure and more diverse training modules. Nigerian policymakers should prioritise equitable distribution of resources to ensure all regions benefit from digital literacy initiatives.
