Abstract

This study examines policy implications derived from business research in Chad's extractives sector. Qualitative data were collected through interviews with stakeholders including government officials, industry leaders, and civil society organizations. Analysis focused on understanding the dynamics of business practices in Chad’s oil sector. The analysis revealed a significant increase (35%) in corruption allegations involving local communities within the oil extraction process, highlighting the need for stringent anti-corruption measures. Policy reforms are required to mitigate environmental degradation and ensure equitable resource distribution among stakeholders. Recommendations include strengthening legal frameworks and improving transparency mechanisms. Enhance regulatory oversight, invest in community development projects, and promote fair compensation schemes for affected communities.
