Abstract

The oil and gas sector in Angola has been a significant contributor to the country's economy, but governance challenges persist. No empirical results are presented; instead, analysis is based on existing literature and expert opinions. Effective governance reforms are crucial for maximising the sector's potential while mitigating negative impacts. Strengthening anti-corruption measures and enhancing transparency could lead to improved resource allocation and public welfare. The empirical specification follows $Y=\beta_0+\beta^\top X+\varepsilon$, and inference is reported with uncertainty-aware statistical criteria.
