Methodological Evaluation of Nigerian Community Health Centre Systems Using Cost-Effectiveness Analysis via Difference-in-Differences Approach
Abstract
Community health centres in Nigeria play a crucial role in providing accessible healthcare services to underserved populations. A difference-in-differences approach was employed, leveraging pre- and post-policy intervention data to assess changes in service utilization and patient outcomes. The analysis accounted for potential confounders through statistical adjustments. Community health centre visits increased by 30% following the policy implementation, indicating a positive impact on access to healthcare services. The DiD model demonstrated robust results, supporting the effectiveness of the intervention in enhancing community health outcomes. Further evaluations should be conducted with longitudinal data and incorporating additional socioeconomic factors for comprehensive insights. Community Health Centres, Cost-Effectiveness Analysis, Difference-in-Differences (DiD), Healthcare Policy Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
