Abstract
Youth entrepreneurship programmes in Nigeria have been introduced to foster economic growth and reduce unemployment among young people. Qualitative research methods were employed, including interviews with programme participants and analysis of existing data from implemented programmes. A notable theme emerging was the significant increase in start-up businesses (35% over a year), driven by initial investment grants provided to participants. The youth entrepreneurship programmes have demonstrated positive impacts on creating new business opportunities, contributing to local economies and reducing unemployment rates. Further support is recommended for sustaining these initiatives through continuous funding and mentorship programmes. Youth Entrepreneurship, Nigerian Cities, Business Outcomes, Employment Impacts
