Eco-Friendly Housing Innovations: An Energy Efficiency Framework for Coastal Ghanaian Villages in an African Context

Abstract

Eco-friendly housing innovations have emerged as a critical area of research in response to climate change impacts on coastal communities in Ghana. No empirical data will be presented. Theoretical models and literature review methods are employed to explore potential solutions for enhancing energy efficiency in coastal dwellings. This theoretical framework provides foundational insights into the implementation of eco-friendly housing projects in coastal Ghana, emphasising the importance of sustainable development strategies for resilience. Local governments should prioritise inclusive planning processes that integrate eco-friendly design elements into new construction and renovation projects to promote energy efficiency and community well-being.
