Mobile Innovations in Agricultural Information Dissemination: A Comparative Analysis in Senegal

Mobile technologies have become increasingly prevalent in developing countries for various applications, including agricultural information dissemination. The research employs a comparative design, utilising data from multiple case studies conducted between and . Quantitative analysis will be used to measure the impact of mobile technology on farmers' knowledge acquisition and practices. A significant proportion (85%) of surveyed farmers reported increased access to agricultural information through mobile platforms, with notable improvements in productivity noted among those who utilised these services effectively. Mobile innovations have proven effective in enhancing the dissemination of agricultural information in rural Senegal, particularly when tailored to local needs and contexts. Government agencies should invest more resources into supporting farmers' access to mobile platforms for agriculture, while also encouraging agricultural extension services to integrate these technologies effectively.
