Abstract

Digital鸿沟 is a concept used to describe disparities in access, use, and benefits of digital technologies across different communities in Africa. In Nigeria’s rural areas, these gaps are particularly pronounced due to limited infrastructure, financial resources, and technological literacy. The theoretical model underscores the importance of collaborative efforts between government bodies, private sector entities, and local communities in addressing the digital divide effectively. To mitigate the digital鸿沟, it is recommended that policymakers prioritise investments in rural internet connectivity and establish partnerships with educational institutions to enhance digital literacy skills among community members.
