Abstract
Nairobi, Kenya, has significant challenges in urban waste management, with solid waste disposal rates varying over time. No empirical results were obtained; this Perspective Piece analyses existing data and literature. Urban waste management policies need further refinement to achieve sustainable solid waste disposal in Nairobi. Investment should be prioritised in waste segregation and recycling initiatives to enhance efficiency and environmental sustainability.
