Abstract
The African University in Angola is a critical institution for knowledge production and dissemination, playing a significant role in the development of the country’s educational landscape. The study employs a qualitative approach, reviewing existing literature on university outputs in Angola and conducting interviews with scholars and policymakers to gather insights into the role of African universities in knowledge dissemination. African universities in Angola have produced substantial research output across various disciplines, particularly in health sciences and social sciences. For instance, over 40% of publications are related to healthcare advancements, highlighting their pivotal role in addressing local health challenges. The African University in Angola is a significant contributor to knowledge production and dissemination within the country, with a notable emphasis on healthcare research. Policymakers should support ongoing research initiatives in key areas such as public health and education reform, ensuring that these institutions continue to play a crucial role in national development.
