Abstract

Agricultural extension services play a crucial role in enhancing crop yields among smallholder farmers in northern Nigeria. The analysis is based on qualitative and semi-quantitative data collected through farmer interviews and field observations in northern Nigeria. Despite initial challenges, agricultural extension services have demonstrated resilience and adaptability to support the sustainable growth of northern Nigerian smallholder farming communities. Further research should investigate the long-term impact of these services on farmers' livelihoods and explore ways to enhance their efficiency and reach across different regions.
