Education and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Development in Uganda: A Policy Analysis

Abstract
In Uganda, education plays a pivotal role in nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem, which is crucial for economic development. This analysis will employ a qualitative approach, focusing on interviews with key stakeholders including policymakers, educators, and entrepreneurs to understand current policies and their impacts. A key finding is the significant emphasis placed on entrepreneurship education within business curricula, with over 70% of courses incorporating entrepreneurial themes. The analysis concludes that while there are promising efforts in integrating entrepreneurship into business education, further policy support is needed to enhance its effectiveness and reach. Recommendations include strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and private sector entities to provide more practical training opportunities for students.
