The Influence of Business Education on Entrepreneurship Development in Uganda

Abstract

Entrepreneurship development is crucial for economic growth in Uganda, a country with significant potential in this sector. A mixed-method approach combining survey data from 300 respondents and qualitative interviews with 15 entrepreneurs. Business education courses significantly enhance entrepreneurial knowledge, particularly in financial management (72% of respondents reported increased understanding). While business education is effective, its impact varies based on the quality of teaching and practical engagement offered by institutions. Institutions should integrate more practical entrepreneurship modules into their curricula to better prepare students for real-world challenges.
