Abstract

The Sahel region of Guinea-Bissau is particularly vulnerable to climate change due to its arid and semi-arid landscapes. No empirical data were collected; instead, an analysis of existing literature and expert interviews were used. Climate change is a significant driver of human security challenges in the Sahel, contributing to regional instability and conflict potential. Enhanced early warning systems and community-based water management initiatives are recommended to mitigate climate impacts.
