Abstract
Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) play a crucial role in providing financial services to low-income individuals and microenterprises in Accra, Ghana. No empirical results are provided; instead, a conceptual analysis will be employed to explore the potential impacts and mechanisms through which MFIs could influence employment in the region. This theoretical framework underscores the importance of supportive policies for MFIs to maximise employment benefits and contribute more effectively to local development goals. Future research should consider empirical studies to validate these insights and propose targeted policy interventions based on this analysis.
