Abstract

This study explores legal practices in Liberia during a specific period, focusing on how these practices reflect broader African contexts and social dynamics. Qualitative data was collected through interviews and document reviews. The study employed thematic analysis to interpret patterns within the data. Themes emerged from the data included the integration of customary laws into formal legal systems, which often influenced decision-making processes in court hearings. The findings highlight a complex interplay between traditional African practices and modern legal frameworks in Liberia. Future research should consider longitudinal studies to track changes in legal practices over time and the impact of such changes on social justice outcomes.
