Abstract

This study examines historical foundations that have influenced contemporary governance challenges in Kenya. A comparative analysis of Kenyan historical records and governance documents from the period - will be used for this study. Patterns in colonial administrative structures have significantly influenced modern bureaucratic practices. Historical legacies are evident in contemporary governance failures, particularly in public service delivery inefficiencies. Policy reforms should consider historical contexts to improve governance effectiveness.
