Abstract

The Nile Basin is a critical water resource for Guinea, facing significant challenges due to climate change and population growth. A qualitative case study approach was employed to analyse existing literature and local governance structures. Findings indicate a need for improved water management policies that address both climate variability and socio-economic factors. The research highlights the importance of integrating traditional knowledge with modern water resource management techniques. Development of integrated water resources management plans tailored to local contexts should be prioritised.
