Corporate Compliance Under Scrutiny: An Environmental Law Enforcement Theoretical Framework in Nigeria
Abstract
Corporate compliance under environmental law enforcement in Nigeria is a critical issue as it affects both the regulatory environment and corporate accountability. This study employs qualitative analysis to explore current laws, regulations, and enforcement practices in Nigeria’s environmental sector. Theoretical frameworks derived from this research provide a basis for enhancing accountability measures within Nigerian corporations to ensure environmental protection. Recommendations include strengthening enforcement mechanisms, increasing public awareness campaigns, and integrating corporate social responsibility into compliance strategies.
