Abstract

Post-conflict societies in Africa often face significant challenges in establishing stable legal frameworks that can support sustainable peace and development. The research employs a comparative analysis of relevant legal documents, secondary sources, and expert interviews to evaluate the effectiveness of these reforms. The implementation of Côte d'Ivoire's legal reforms has shown mixed results, with some sectors experiencing substantial progress while others remain underdeveloped, particularly in areas related to transitional justice mechanisms. While Côte d'Ivoire's reforms have addressed certain aspects of post-conflict law-making, significant gaps persist that require further attention and investment. Future legal reform efforts should prioritise the development of robust transitional justice systems and address persistent social inequalities to ensure comprehensive peace and stability.
