Abstract
The research in Benin focuses on the policy implications of legal reforms within African contexts. Qualitative interviews were conducted with policymakers, legal scholars, and practitioners to gather insights into the implementation of recent legal reforms. The research underscores the complexity of integrating local customs with national legislation to achieve effective policy outcomes. Policymakers should engage more closely with traditional leaders and community members to ensure that new legal frameworks are inclusive and sustainable.
