Abstract

Eritrea's legal landscape has evolved in response to national development goals, particularly focusing on sustainable development strategies. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative surveys to assess legal frameworks and citizen perceptions. Interviews revealed a significant proportion (60%) of respondents believed current policies inadequately address environmental issues, while survey data showed inconsistent application rates across regions. The study highlights the need for more comprehensive policy integration that harmonizes legal provisions with practical implementation in Eritrea. Policy recommendations include enhancing stakeholder engagement and integrating cross-sectoral collaboration into legal frameworks to improve sustainability outcomes.
