Abstract
Post-conflict Senegal faces significant legal challenges in reconstructing its legal system, necessitating a comprehensive review of existing laws and their effectiveness. The study employs a structured questionnaire distributed among legal practitioners, judges, and academics in Senegal to gather data on current legal issues and proposed reforms. Survey results indicate that one-third of respondents identified corruption as the most significant challenge to post-conflict legal reconstruction in Senegal. The analysis reveals a need for enhanced judicial independence, improved legal education, and stronger community engagement to address these challenges effectively. Implementing stricter anti-corruption measures, enhancing training programmes for judges, and fostering public trust through transparent legal processes are recommended.
