Abstract

This commentary explores comparative legal dynamics in Tanzania within a broader African regional integration context. A qualitative approach was employed, focusing on secondary data from official government sources, international organizations' reports, and academic literature. The analysis highlights the complex interplay between national laws and regional integration agreements, particularly concerning ISDS provisions. Recommendations include enhancing transparency and public participation in the negotiation of international investment treaties and strengthening legal capacity to handle disputes under ISDS.
