Abstract
Urban slums in Tanzania present unique challenges to accessing justice for vulnerable populations. Mixed methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative surveys of 300 participants across three urban slums. Respondents faced significant barriers including language, distance, and socio-economic status hindering legal aid access; 65% reported difficulties in accessing justice. Urban slum residents face substantial obstacles to accessing justice, necessitating targeted legal reform initiatives. Develop culturally sensitive legal services and advocate for policy changes that address structural inequalities.
