Abstract

Youth entrepreneurship in Cairo’s urban areas faces challenges related to access to finance, skills development, and market entry. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative data analysis of programme participants' experiences. Youth entrepreneurs in Cairo report significant barriers, particularly around securing funding and accessing markets. Current policies need to focus more on financial inclusion mechanisms and market access support for youth businesses. Incorporate structured mentorship programmes alongside traditional banking services to improve loan approval rates.
