Abstract

Legal education plays a pivotal role in advancing governance and the rule of law in Morocco by equipping legal professionals with the necessary knowledge to uphold fair judicial systems. The study adopts a comparative approach by analysing data from multiple institutions in Morocco alongside international benchmarks. Quantitative analysis includes surveys assessing students' knowledge and attitudes towards legal principles, while qualitative methods involve interviews with educators and judicial officials. Findings indicate that there is a significant disparity (20%) between the theoretical knowledge taught in law schools and practical application within the Moroccan judiciary, highlighting the need for more hands-on training opportunities. The research underscores the importance of integrating practical legal experiences into curricula to better prepare students for real-world judicial challenges. Recommendations include increasing funding for legal education programmes and implementing mandatory internships or externships in court settings for law students.
