Abstract

The study examines community-based healthcare access programmes for children under five in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. A comparative legal analysis was conducted using existing literature and secondary data from various governmental sources. Community-based healthcare access programmes in Dar es Salaam showed significant disparities in implementation, with a notable lack of uniformity in funding across sectors. The research highlights the need for harmonized sectoral laws to ensure equitable access to healthcare for children under five. Legislators should advocate for comprehensive legal frameworks that integrate child health into national development plans.
