Abstract
Community-driven food security programmes in Malawi have aimed to enhance agricultural productivity through farmer participation. The study employed mixed-methods approaches including surveys, interviews, and statistical analyses to assess programme effectiveness and participant satisfaction. Analysis revealed that participation rates among farmers were notably high at 85%, with significant improvements in crop yields by an average of 20% across participating communities. The findings suggest a strong positive correlation between increased farmer engagement and enhanced agricultural productivity, warranting further replication and expansion of such programmes. Policy makers should prioritise continuous engagement strategies to maintain high levels of participation and ensure sustainable food security solutions.
