Preserving Digitally Enduring Cultural Heritage in Tanzania's Resource-Constrained Settings
Abstract
Tanzania's diverse cultural heritage is under threat due to rapid digitalization and resource constraints in many communities. A mixed-methods approach combining qualitative interviews with quantitative surveys of stakeholders. Findings suggest that community engagement and digital literacy programmes are essential for sustainable preservation efforts. Policies should prioritise capacity building among local communities to ensure long-term cultural heritage protection in resource-limited areas. Develop targeted training programmes, integrate digital tools into educational curricula, and foster public-private partnerships.
