ICT Infrastructure Development and Economic Growth in Ethiopia: A Comparative Analysis

Abstract

Ethiopia has been investing in information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure to enhance economic development. Data from to was analysed using a linear regression model with robust standard errors. ICT investment in Ethiopia increased GDP by an average of 5% over the study period. The findings suggest that higher ICT investments are correlated with greater economic growth. Further research is recommended to explore these relationships across different sectors and regions. ICT infrastructure, Economic Growth, Ethiopia, Regression Analysis Model estimation used $\hat{\theta}=argmin_{\theta}\sum_i\ell(y_i,f_\theta(x_i))+\lambda\lVert\theta\rVert_2^2$, with performance evaluated using out-of-sample error.
