Abstract
Digital preservation efforts are crucial in safeguarding West African cultural heritage in a digital age. A qualitative approach was employed to gather insights from stakeholders and existing literature. Digital preservation initiatives have been implemented in various formats such as digitization projects and online archives, contributing to the accessibility of cultural artifacts. While digital technologies offer innovative solutions for heritage preservation, challenges related to funding, technical capacity, and community engagement persist. Enhanced collaboration between stakeholders and increased investment in technology infrastructure are recommended to improve digital preservation efforts.
