Abstract
The Nairobi informal settlements face significant waste management challenges, particularly in micro-urban markets where recycling systems are underdeveloped. A comprehensive review of existing literature and stakeholder consultations will inform the development of this theoretical framework. Theoretical insights derived from this study provide foundational knowledge for policymakers and practitioners aiming to improve waste management practices in similar contexts. Develop targeted educational programmes, integrate advanced technologies, and establish collaborative partnerships among local stakeholders to implement the proposed framework effectively.
