Abstract

The adoption of digital health records (DHRs) in urban youth healthcare services is an area of growing interest due to its potential impact on patient care and service delivery. A systematic literature review was conducted using databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and Scopus. Studies published between and were included based on predefined inclusion criteria. The analysis revealed that a significant proportion (65%) of youth healthcare services in Accra adopted DHRs, with the adoption rate being higher among larger facilities and those with more advanced IT infrastructure. User satisfaction was generally positive but varied across different service settings. This study highlights the need for tailored strategies to overcome technological barriers and improve user experience, particularly for smaller healthcare providers in Accra. Healthcare policymakers should prioritise the development of digital literacy programmes and support infrastructure upgrades to enhance DHR adoption among youth healthcare services. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
