Abstract

Maternal mortality rates remain high in rural Ethiopian communities due to limited access to healthcare services. A mixed-methods approach was employed including surveys, focus group discussions, and data analysis using logistic regression models with robust standard errors. Mobile health interventions showed a statistically significant reduction (\(OR = 0\).65; CI: 0.47-0.91) in maternal mortality rates compared to control groups. Mobile health technologies are effective in mitigating maternal mortality risks in rural Ethiopian settings, with substantial reductions observed. Further research should focus on scalability and cost-effectiveness of these interventions.
