Abstract

Nigeria's recent political transitions have highlighted significant gender imbalances in power distribution. A qualitative approach using secondary data from government reports, academic journals, and interviews with stakeholders. Analysis revealed a persistent underrepresentation of women in leadership roles across all sectors, with women comprising only 15% of cabinet positions in the last decade. Gender imbalances significantly influence policy outcomes and public service delivery, necessitating targeted interventions to promote gender equity. Implement quotas for female representation in political parties and government agencies, enhance training programmes on gender equality, and increase media coverage of women leaders.
