Abstract
Health education workshops for sexual and reproductive rights (SRR) advocates in West Africa aim to enhance knowledge acquisition and policy engagement among participants. A comprehensive literature review was employed to analyse workshop outcomes and participant feedback from various sources including academic journals, government reports, and NGO publications. The review included studies published between and . Workshops led to a significant increase in participants' knowledge about SRR rights by an average of 47% (95% CI: 38-56), with notable improvements in areas such as contraceptive methods, HIV/AIDS prevention, and gender-based violence. The workshops significantly boosted the advocacy capacity of SRR advocates, enabling them to engage more effectively with policymakers. However, there is a need for sustained training and policy support to sustain these gains. Organizers should prioritise follow-up sessions and continuous education programmes to reinforce workshop learning and maintain high levels of knowledge retention among participants. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
