Abstract

Community health centers (CHCs) play a crucial role in primary healthcare delivery in South Africa, addressing the significant disparities in access to medical services. A quasi-experimental design was employed to compare pre- and post-intervention outcomes among CHCs. Statistical analysis will include regression models with robust standard errors. CHCs showed an average increase of 15% in patient consultations per month after implementing new service protocols, indicating a positive yield improvement. The quasi-experimental design demonstrated the potential for evaluating healthcare system performance without random assignment, providing valuable insights into CHC effectiveness. Further research should explore scalability and cost-effectiveness of these findings in other regions to inform policy decisions. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
