Abstract

Community health workshops have been implemented in various settings to enhance HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment adherence. Workshops were conducted in rural areas with structured training sessions targeting both men and women. Adherence to antiretroviral therapy (ART) was assessed through self-reported surveys at baseline and follow-up assessments. In the first year, there was a significant increase in ART adherence from 35% to 48% among workshop participants. In the second year, this improved further to 62%. The workshops significantly enhanced HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment adherence among rural Ugandans. Continued support for community health initiatives is recommended to sustain these improvements. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(pi)=\beta0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
