Abstract
Gender-based violence (GBV) is prevalent in Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), with counseling programmes being a critical component for supporting survivors. A mixed-methods approach will be employed, integrating qualitative interviews with programme participants and quantitative data from service records. The theoretical framework will provide insights into the effectiveness of current GBV counseling programmes and guide future improvements in service delivery. Programmes should integrate community engagement strategies, offer longer-term support, and collaborate with other sectors to address systemic barriers to recovery.
