Abstract

Community health centers in Kenya have been established to improve healthcare access and outcomes for underserved populations. However, there is a need to evaluate their effectiveness methodologically. The analysis employs a random-effects model with robust standard errors to aggregate findings from multiple studies, ensuring comprehensive coverage and reliability of the results. A significant proportion (35%) of patients reported improved clinical outcomes following treatment at community health centers, highlighting their effectiveness in managing common ailments. The study underscores the potential of community health centers as effective healthcare delivery systems with substantial improvements noted across various disease categories. Further research should focus on sustainability strategies and training programmes for community health workers to sustain these benefits. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
