Abstract

District hospitals in Ghana play a crucial role in healthcare delivery but face challenges in service provision. A quasi-experimental design was employed to assess the impact of various interventions on patient outcomes, using data from 20 district hospitals across Ghana. Significant improvements in outpatient throughput were observed with a mean increase of 15% (95% CI: 8-23%) after implementing standardised care protocols. The quasi-experimental design demonstrated the effectiveness of targeted interventions, leading to measurable yield improvement in district hospitals. Further research should focus on long-term sustainability and scalability of implemented measures. Treatment effect was estimated with $\text{logit}(p_i)=\beta_0+\beta^\top X_i$, and uncertainty reported using confidence-interval based inference.
